Well, it’s happening. The way we consume media has been changing over the last couple of years thanks to subscription based streaming services and now it seems the gaming industry is playing catch up. Earlier this week Electronic Arts launched their very own subscription service called EA Access and only on the Xbox One.
Starting at about $5 per month or $30 per year you gain access to EA’s “The Vault”. Right now with the subscription you get to download and have unlimited access to FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, Battlefield 4 and Peggle 2 with a promise of more games to be added in the near future. Along with those games you also get early access to upcoming EA titles and a 10% discount on EA games and DLC when buying the digital copies. Now the subscription service is still in beta and things can change at any time but for EA fans this is a great deal with the potential to save a ton of money.
